The elbow is a kind of connecting pipe fitting commonly used in plumbing installation, which is used for the connection at the bend of the pipe and is used to change
the direction of the pipe.
Other names: 90° elbow, right angle bend, love and bend, stamping elbow, pressed elbow, mechanism elbow, welding elbow, etc.
Purpose: Connect two pipes with the same or different nominal diameters, so that the pipeline can be turned at 90°, 45°, 180° and various degrees.
The bending radius is less than or equal to 1.5 times of the pipe diameter belongs to the elbow, and more than 1.5 times of the pipe diameter belongs to the elbow.
Technical requirements
1. Since most of the pipe fittings are used for welding, in order to improve the welding quality, the ends are turned into grooves, the angle left, and the edge of the belt
are also relatively strict. The surface quality and mechanical properties are basically the same as those of the tube. In order to facilitate welding, the steel grade of the pipe
fitting is the same as that of the pipe to which it is connected.
2. All pipe fittings must be treated on the surface, and the iron oxide scale on the inner and outer surfaces will be sprayed off through shot peening, and then coated with
anticorrosive paint. This is for export needs, and furthermore, in order to facilitate transportation in China and prevent rust and oxidation, this work must be done.
3. It is the requirement for packaging for small pipe fittings, such as export, it is necessary to make a wooden box, about 1 cubic meter,and the number of elbows in this box is about not more than one ton, and the standard allows the set, that is, the large set is small, but the total weight generally cannot exceed 1 ton.
For large items, it is necessary to pack it individually, like 24" on a single package. The other is the packaging mark, which is to indicate the size, steel number,
batch number, manufacturer trademark, etc.
